FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Authorities have arrested four people in connection with stolen property and identity theft in Central Fresno.
The Fresno Help Eliminate Auto Theft team served a search warrant at a home near Clinton and San Pablo Thursday morning that was the result of a vehicle theft investigation.
CHP Sgt. Lenny Sherman says a contractor's 2002 Chevrolet van was stolen last month in Selma, and was later sold. He says the buyer realized it was stolen and called police.
Officers followed up on leads and arrested the woman accused of selling the stolen truck at the home.
Police say they found a stolen handgun, assault rifle, magazines, drugs and evidence of identify theft. They say the handgun was stolen during a home burglary in Fresno County.
Three other people were also arrested at the Central Fresno home.
Sgt. Sherman says some of the people who were arrested are convicted felons.
