The Fresno City College football team is preparing for a new season, and the Valley heat.

Head coach Tony Caviglia has his players on a weightlifting and conditioning program to prepare them for what they are about to face.

The Rams must be able to endure afternoon practice sessions under the hot Valley sun.

Caviglia wants to make sure his players are in the best condition possible when they open practice August 9th. The Rams will put on the pads for the first time two days later.

Fresno City College, 10-1 last year, opens the 2012 season on September 1st.
