FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Firefighters had to free two people from a car that crashed in West Central Fresno Tuesday morning.

It happened just before 11 a.m. at Olive and Highway 99.

When crews got to the scene, they found two people trapped inside a badly damaged car, Fresno Fire Department spokesman Sean Johnson said.

Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to get the two out of the car, Johnson said.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital. It's not known how they are doing.
