Mountain West Conference Commissioner, Craig Thompson, touched on three main points during his time at the mic at the football media days, Wednesday in Las Vegas:

- There is no further plans for expansion right now

- After USU & SJSU joins MWC next year, from the WAC, no other teams are being looked at

- The merger with Conference USA is dead, at this point

The Bulldogs first fall practice is August 3rd. The season opener is September 1st against Weber State. The conference opener is September 29th, homecoming, against San Diego State.
