TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
Authorities in the South Valley are looking into a deadly crash that they say resulted from a shooting.
Shortly after 6 p.m. Monday, Tulare County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the area of Avenue 362 and Road 156 near Ivanhoe for reports of a crash.
They found three people inside a car.
Deputies say 18-year-old Cruz Medina died from injuries that appeared to be related to the accident. A 26-year-old man was shot, and a 19-year-old man was hurt in the crash; both men were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Deputies say the three men had been driving in the area when someone shot at them, which then led to the crash.
So far, no arrests have been made.
