MERCED, Calif. (KMPH) -
Police in Merced are investigating a shooting outside of a grocery store.
Merced Police say they went to the parking lot of the Food 4 Less at Meadows and Olive around 11 p.m. Thursday after receiving a call of shots fired.
A 21-year-old man told officers that a dark-colored Honda drove by and someone inside opened fire, hitting him.
The victim was taken to an area hospital. He is expected to be okay.
Investigators believe the shooting was gang-related.
No arrests have been made.
