MERCED, Calif. (KMPH) -
Authorities in Merced are looking for the gunman who opened fire at an overnight party, killing a 14-year-old boy.
It happened near 11th and W Street just before 1 a.m. Friday.
Merced Police say they found the teenager about a block away, suffering from gunshot wounds. He died as he was being flown to a hospital.
Minutes later, a 23-year-old man was taken to Mercy Medical Center by his friends after he was shot at the same party.
The man is expected to be okay, but police say he is not cooperating.
