FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
A llama statue that was stolen from the yard of a Southeast Fresno home last week has been recovered in the South Valley.
Fresno artist Chris Sorensen says 'Dolly the Llama' was found in a dumpster in Hanford.
Sorensen made the statue for his son and daughter-in-law more than 30 years ago.
Family members say they came outside on the morning of July 11 and noticed the llama was gone from their front yard.
The statue -- which is made from hundreds of coat hangers welded together -- has since been returned to the Chris Sorensen Studio and Gallery.
