Drowning Victim's Body Pulled From Millerton Lake

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Search and rescue crews have recovered the body of a man who drowned at Millerton Lake.

The Fresno County Sheriff's dive team was called out to the lake around 9 p.m. Sunday.

Friends say the man, who was a Fresno State student, had been swimming and never made it back to the surface.

The man's body was found near the main boat ramp just before 11 a.m. Monday.

Authorities have not released his name, but they say he was from Southern California.
