FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
The Pinedale Community Center Pool will reopen very soon thanks to an anonymous donor who ponied up money to pay for it.
The pool has been closed for the last three years due to a lack of funding.
Word got out that it would take $7,200 to open the pool for six weeks. On Wednesday, someone called the Fresno Parks Department and donated the cash.
The city hopes to have the pool open by Monday.
Fresno park officials say once it is back in full operation, the pool will open daily from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and there will be no charge to swim.
The pool is located at the Pinedale Community Center -- 7170 N. San Pablo Avenue.
