'Dolly The Llama' Swiped From Fresno Yard

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A llama is missing. Thieves stole a piece of Fresno's art history and kidnapped a llama made out of steel by a well-known local artist 30 years ago.

"Dolly the Llama" is made from hundreds of coat hangers welded together.

The statue was in the front yard of a house off Clovis and Kings Canyon in Southeast Fresno.

Well-known Fresno artist Chris Sorensen made it for his son and daughter-in-law more than 30 years ago.

Mrs. Sorensen came outside Tuesday morning and noticed the llama was gone.

The Sorensens are offering a reward for the safe return of the llama statue.

The family can be reached at (559) 260-1260.
