FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Authorities have put the brakes on an accused car thief.
Aaron Greene was arrested Tuesday after police and CHP officers say he led them on a high-speed chase in Northeast Fresno.
Greene is accused of stealing more than a dozen cars from car lots, pretending to be a potential buyer and then speeding off after watching where workers at the lot place the keys.
Police say Greene ditched the car and ran through several yards near Cedar and Nees. After an extensive search, officers say they found him hiding in a water heater closet.
Investigators believe Greene is working with a partner, but she is still on the loose.
