San Bernardino Files For Bankruptcy; Third California City To Do So

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (KMPH) -

San Bernardino's city council filed chapter nine bankruptcy protection.

The city suffers from the housing crash and high unemployment.

The city even cut its own workforce by 20% over the past four years.

This is the third city in California to file for bankruptcy, after Vallejo in 2008 and Stockton last month.
