A Fresno County tire shop owner and his friend are being hailed heroes by animal lovers after the friend stopped a pack of dogs from attacking what they believe is a golden eagle.
Hector Ramirez stopped the dogs from attacking the eagle and took it to his friend Leo at Leo's Tire Service in San Joaquin.
They knew the bird needed help, so they walked to a Fresno County Sheriff's Office substation and asked for help.
From there they called a rescue service, and now the eagle is on its way to recovery.
