TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Budget cuts on the horizon will affect every judge, court employee, and citizen of Tulare County.

It will also impact how easily they can exercise their rights in a courtroom.

More than 100 courtrooms across the state will be closed and hundreds of jobs will be cut.

Three million dollars are being slashed from Tulare County Superior Court's budget and 26 people will be out of a job as of July 1st.

The court building in Tulare on Kern Avenue will close its doors for good August 31st.

That means if your case is based in Tulare, you'll have to drive to Porterville or Visalia to see it through.
