Tucson gave the Grizzlies a case of deja vu Tuesday night, coming from behind for a 9-8 Pacific Coast League victory in Fresno.
The Grizzlies rallied from a 6-1 deficit to take a 7-6 lead on Conor Gillaspie's sixth inning homer.
But the Padres regained the lead with a two run rally in the top of the seventh on the way to their third straight win in Fresno.
The Grizzlies, losers of seven of their last eight, remain 2 1/2 games behind first place Sacramento.
Fresno opens a road trip at Reno Wednesday night.
