Game Tables Stolen From Merced Community Center

Posted:
MERCED, Calif. (KMPH) -

Authorities in Merced are trying to figure out who stole more than $4,000 worth of game tables from a community center.

Merced Police say someone broke into the Stephen Leonard Community Center along T Street earlier this week and took off with a foosball table, pool table, hockey table, ping pong table and a karaoke machine.

According to investigators, a person who lives nearby said he heard a loud noise coming from Stephen Leonard Park around 11 p.m. Tuesday, but didn't call police because he thought the noise was caused by people playing basketball.

Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the Merced Police Department Tip Line at (209) 385-4725.
