FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
The man accused of hiring a hitman to kill his former business partner could be spending the next nine years of his life in jail.
A jury on Thursday found 43-year-old Daljit Singh guilty of trying to pay to have Rama Kant Dawar killed last year.
It took jurors less than six hours to convict Singh of solicitation of murder in Fresno County Superior Court.
Singh now faces up to nine years in prison.
