
The 42nd City-County All-Star basketball games Wednesday night turned out to be a sweep for the City.
Buchanan graduate Alex Fertig, bound for Cal State Monterey Bay, was the Most Valuable Player in the men's game, won by the City in a high scoring shootout 117-104.
Tiana Maxwell of San Joaquin Memorial was the MVP in the women's game, won by the City 79-69. Maxwell is set to play at Fresno City College next year.
