Fire Burns Family Out Of Southeast Fresno Apartment

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Firefighters are mopping up an apartment fire in Southeast Fresno.

The fire broke out at a fourplex on Peach near Kings Canyon around 9 a.m. Wednesday.

When firefighters got there, they found a working fire inside one of the units.

The family was able to get out safely, but their cat was killed.

The two adults and children are being helped by the Red Cross.

Firefighters are not sure what started the fire.
