It's hard to imagine how scared two kids were Tuesday. Their mom left them alone on a train and then the train left the station without her.

They rode the train alone from Merced to the Amtrak station in Downtown Fresno. That's where they waited for their mom to find them.

She says she left the boys alone on the train to use the bathroom.

Amtrak employees say that doesn't make sense since there are two bathrooms on every train car.
