FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Visalia Police say College of the Sequoias baseball pitcher Joe Jesus Meraz has been arrested after drugs and guns were found in his Tulare home.
Members of the Tulare Area Regional Gang Enforcement Team conducted a probation search at Meraz's home on Tuesday and located handguns (one of which was reported stolen), ammunition, four ounces of methamphetamine, items indicating sales of meth and gang materials, said Sgt. Amy Watkins, spokeswoman for the police department.
Meraz -- who is on probation for possession of meth -- is a gang member and was arrested during the search, Sgt. Watkins said.
Meraz was booked into the Tulare County Jail. He faces multiple drug, weapons and gang-related charges.
