On the hottest day of the year so far some dad's chose to cool off on the water slides at Blackbeard's. It was a chance to spend quality time with their kids and beat the heat at the same time.
Blackbeard's was one place to forget how hot it felt to be outside in the Valley Sunday. The water slides are something Robert Arroyo has enjoyed as an adult and a kid. He figured Father's Day was the perfect time to relive a fun moment. "It's their first. They've never been here before and this is the place I loved to come when I was a lot younger."
A lot of people had the same idea about cooling off on a scorching triple-digit day. Lot's of dad's decided to bring their kids and enjoy a cool comfortable ride down the slide. "It's a good deal. It's good to be out. It's good to beat the heat. It's nice being together."
With temperatures expected to hover in the triple digits for the next few days the water slides are expected to be a popular place to hang out.
