An old Valley landmark will soon have a new home.

The Chowchilla City Council on Tuesday voted to accept a bid for the Mammoth Orange from the San Joaquin Valley Paleontology Foundation.

The organization oversees the Fossil Discovery Center of Madera County.

The group plans to move the big orange to the discovery center and use it as a concession stand.
