A registered sex offender is back behind bars after being accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies say they arrested 45-year-old David Guerrero in connection with the sexual assault of an 8-year-old girl.
Around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, deputies were called to a home near Olive and El Capitan in Fresno County.
That's when they say Guerrero barricaded himself inside a crawl space of the home.
It took about half an hour, but K9 Officer Oka eventually made the man come out.
He was taken to Community Regional Medical Center to be treated for dog bites and injuries from bean bag rounds. He was later booked into the Fresno County Jail.
Officer Oka also suffered some minor injuries.
Deputies found Guerrero was a gang member and may have been under the influence of drugs.
