Water Main Break; First Street In NE Fresno Collapses

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A portion of First Street in Northeast Fresno is closed after a worker accidentally hit a water main Wednesday morning, which caused a section of the road to collapse, a city spokesperson said.

First Street, between Nees and Alluvial avenues, is closed. It's not known when it will reopen.

Detours are in place, but drivers are being asked to take an alternate route.
