MERCED, Calif. (KMPH) -
The Merced County Fair kicks off on Wednesday, June 13, and runs through Sunday, June 17.
This year's theme is "Cows Just Wanna Have Fun."
The fair will offer lots of family fun including rides, games, concerts, food and so much more.
Great Day's Kopi Sotiropulos will be at the fair on Wednesday, June 13, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
General admission is $5, and kids under five get in free.
2012 Fair Hours
Wednesday through Friday (June 13-15): 5 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Saturday and Sunday (June 16-17): 3 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

5 p.m. Gates open. (5 days of udderly moo-velous fun!)
5 p.m. Great American Petting Zoo. (Chat with a wallaby, while bonding with a llama)
5:30/7/8/9:30 p.m. All Alaskan Racing Pigs. (You never sausage a show!)
Here's a sample of what's scheduled Thursday, June 14:
9 a.m. – Noon. School tours. (Hundreds of tykes get an exclusive tour)
9 a.m. Avian Science. (Oodles of feathers on this runway)
5 p.m. EECU Kids' Day. (Kids 12 & under get in free!)
