Posted:
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -

Authorities are looking for four people in connection with a home invasion robbery near Fresno that sent a man and a woman to the hospital.

Shortly before 6 a.m. Saturday, Fresno County Sheriff's Deputies received a call regarding a home invasion robbery in the area of East and Central avenues.

When they got to the home, deputies say they found a 58-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman beaten and bloody.

The victims told investigators that two men entered the home, forced them to the floor and beat them with handguns and a metal pipe. They said the two men then ransacked the home and took several items.

Deputies say one of the men fired a gunshot, but no one was hit.

Deputies say a third man and a woman broke into a trailer on the property and stole some items. They say all four people then took off, possibly in a small white-colored car.

Both victims were taken to Community Regional Medical Center. It's now known how badly they were hurt.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (559) 498-STOP(7867).
