Changes are made in the technology, media and telecommunications sector
(PRWEB) June 09, 2012
Big4.com, the premier social networking forum for professionals and alumni of Accenture, Andersen, BearingPoint, Capgemini, Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC, has reported on Deloitte’s announcement of the appointment of Craig W. Wigginton to lead the telecommunications sector within its national technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) practice. As well, the company has appointed Jerry Belson as the national sector leader for media & entertainment (M&E). These announcements were made June 06.
Big4.com also notes that Wigginton and Belson succeed Phil Asmundson, who previously led both sectors. Asmundson continues to lead the global and Americas telecommunications sectors and serve Deloitte’s key TMT clients.
Wigginton currently serves as the U.S. telecommunications leader to Deloitte’s audit and advisory services practice and is also the northeast regional leader for technology and telecommunications. Big4.com also reports that Belson, who also serves as the global consulting leader for the TMT practice, has been with Deloitte for 27 years.
Eric Openshaw, vice chairman, Deloitte LLP and U.S. Technology, Media & Telecommunications leader spoke to the need for the new appointments.
“No industry has experienced the level of change seen in TMT this past decade,” he said. “Craig and Jerry possess the vision, industry insights and commitment to quality that will help our clients navigate these changes, deliver on marketplace commitments and plan for future growth.”
