It's expected to be beautiful this weekend, and that makes it a perfect time to head to our local national parks.

Saturday, June 9 is National Get Outdoors Day. To celebrate, all national parks will offer free admission.

The goal of National Get Outdoors Day is to encourage healthy, active outdoor fun at public lands across the nation. It's sponsored by nonprofit organizations, federal agencies and the recreation industry.

All other fees associated with camping, lodging, or activities within the parks are not waived.
