FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Gusty winds and blowing dust caused problems in many parts of the Valley Monday afternoon.
Low visibility forced the California Highway Patrol to close eastbound Highway 152 at Road 17 in Madera County for about an hour.
High winds caused quite a mess in Fresno as well. A gust of wind knocked down power lines at Poplar and Floradora, and a tree came tumbling down in the area of Olive and Fruit.
The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District issued an alert for unhealthy air through Monday evening.
