New Bulldogs Learning Old Tricks

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

The late surge of the Fresno State baseball team may be the result of lessons learned over the course of this season.

Head Coach Mike Batesole says the young players who made mistakes early in the season would have to wait until the next day's practice to fix them. Now the Bulldogs have learned how to correct their mistakes during an individual game, and even during individual at-bats.

Those adjustments have come from the experience gained during game action.

As a result, Fresno State has won 11 of the last 14 games entering Friday's NCAA Regional opener against Stanford.

Seeded fourth in the four-team field, the Bulldogs should not be feeling any pressure. In fact, the players say they are enjoying the ride, having fun with their teammates.
