FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -
Sports and energy drinks may be giving you more than just a quick boost.
A recent study in the journal General Dentistry suggests high acidity levels in the drinks may erode tooth enamel, causing irreversible damage to teeth.
Researchers examined the acidity levels in 13 sports drinks and nine energy drinks. They found the acid in the drinks could start eroding teeth in as little as five days.
