Grass Fire Spreads Quickly In Lemoore - KMPH FOX 26 | Central San Joaquin Valley News Source

Firefighters in Lemoore are mopping up after a grass fire spread quickly, threatening homes and other buildings.

The fire sparked along Highway 198 and 18th Avenue Sunday afternoon.

Witnesses say the fire burned several eucalyptus trees, acres of grass, and eventually spread to a home near the Lemoore Golf Course.

Parts of Highway 198 had to be shut down because of heavy smoke.

We're still waiting to hear from the Lemoore Fire Department about how the fire started and how much damage it caused.
