Fresno's Rotary Storyland will be celebrating its 50th anniversary this weekend.
Rotary Storyland opened to the public on May 19, 1962.
To commemorate the celebration, Rotary Storyland will host a giant celebration on Saturday, May 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The anniversary celebration begins with the 3rd annual "Storyland & Playland Fun Run/Walk." Registration starts at 8 a.m.
There will be live entertainment, special activities for kids and cupcakes for the first 500 guests.
A dedication ceremony will take place at 11:00 a.m. at King Arthur's Castle, which will include proclamations and a special cake-cutting.
King Arthur's Castle has been around since Rotary Storyland first opened and has undergone a recent renovation which will be unveiled at Saturday's ceremony.
Admission will be 50 cents on that day.
