Valley School Is The Class Of Lacrosse

Posted:
FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Fresno's Hoover High School has taken its lacrosse program to the highest level.

The Lady Patriots are heavy favorites to win the upcoming Fresno Unified postseason tournament, which would be their fourth championship in a row.

Built from the ground up by head coach Tim Carey, Hoover has never lost a league contest. The Lady Pates are in their fourth season of play, rolling to a 54-0 record in league games.

Lacrosse is growing in popularity in the area. Part of the attraction is the opportunity for student-athletes to continue their playing careers at Fresno State, which started its own lacrosse program in 2008, and has just completed it's third season of competition.
