RISC Weekend will be held at Columbia University July 20 and 21

The Art of Stepping is proud to announce the official sponsors and line-up for RISC 2012 Weekend, Art of Stepping’s national step and stroll competition weekend, which will be held July 20 and 21 at Columbia University in New York City.

Joining RISC 2012 Weekend as official sponsors are Glacéau’s vitaminwater® and popchips. The competition at RISC 2012 Weekend includes a line-up of the nations top sorority and fraternity step and stroll teams. Joining the sorority competition are Chi Upsilon Sigma, Lambda Pi Chi, Lambda Pi Upsilon, Omega Phi Beta, Sigma Iota Alpha, and Sigma Lambda Gamma. Competing fraternities include Beta Kappa Psi, Chi Theta Sigma, Lambda Upsilon Lambda, MALIK, Sigma Phi Rho, and Sigma Lambda Beta. Special performances will include a tribute by Art of Stepping’s professional step team members from the California, Florida, New York, Illinois, and New Jersey teams, as well as a one-of-a-kind performance by the Unity Clash team choreographed by celebrity choreographer, J-RoMeo.

“RISC is the biggest national competition for Latino and African-American sororities and fraternities every year,” said Jessica Saul, founder and President of Art of Stepping. “This is our biggest competition to-date!
