Spoiling Mom On Her Day

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

On Mother's Day 2012 Moms were treated to brunch and lunch. Many received high praise in church while others chose to chill at home.

At St. Rest Baptist Church in Southwest Fresno there wasn't a dry eye in God's house. A select number of daughters danced for their Mother's. Before they hit the dance floor the girls offered words of thanks and praise to Mom. "I just wanted to say I love you."

Teresa Baldwin cherishes the day. "Mother's Day is not just a title. It symbolizes a person that protects you, keeps you safe, loves you, cares for you in times when they may not feel that way and mothers will always be there."

Half a dozen Moms had their moment in church watching their daughters dance their heart out.

Alfonso Ward will never forget his Mom. "I have a mother that lived to be 90 years old. She was loving and caring for me. She reached out and made sure I had everything and I really wanted some true love. I know I received it from my Mother."

At Logan's Roadhouse in Northeast Fresno Mother's Day produced triple the volume than a normal Sunday. Luz Gonzalez isn't a Mom but this aunt is treated like royalty on Mother's Day. "My nieces and nephews consider me a second Mom and so for them it's exciting to be able to take my sister, their Mother and I out to lunch and celebrate this day because they really feel that it's a day for us."

Mother's Day is also the biggest holiday of the year for florists. San Francisco Floral had one thousand deliveries this weekend.
