Badminton may be thought of as an offbeat Olympic sport, but it is growing here in the Valley, and that popularity was evident at Clovis East High School.

A very nice crowd gathered to watch the home team beat Buchanan, 11-8, for the Central Valley Title.

It is the Timberwolves second straight title and third in the last four years.
