TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) -
An Amber Alert issued for a 1-year-old boy from Pixley early Thursday afternoon has been canceled after he was found safe and his father was taken into custody.
The Tulare County Sheriff's Department says the boy, his mother and his father were in a car that detectives pulled over in the area of Avenue 120 and Road 120 near Pixley.
Investigators say 29-year-old Justin Turner abducted both his son, John Turner, and his son's mother, Ashley Turner, earlier in the day.
Justin Turner was taken into custody.
Authorities say the mother and child are okay.
No other details have been released.
