Man Killed In Tulare Shooting

TULARE, Calif. (KMPH) -

An investigation is underway after a man was shot and killed in Tulare.

Shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, Tulare police officers went to the 900 block of West King Avenue after receiving a call about a shooting.

Officers found a 23-year-old man a few blocks away at the Santa Fe Trail and D Street suffering from gunshot wounds.

The man was taken to an area hospital where he later died. His name has not been released.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Police say this is the city's first homicide of the year.
