Waterfall Season Near Its Peak At Yosemite National Park

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (KMPH) -

Right now, we have some of the most spectacular waterfalls in our own backyard. But they won't stay that way for long.

National Park Rangers say the snowpack is only about 50% of normal this year, so that means many of the waterfalls will dry up by early to mid-June.

If you're planning to go up to Yosemite National Park to see the waterfalls for yourself, rangers are warning people to be careful, especially when climbing on slippery rocks, or getting into the waters.

Last year three people were swept over Vernal fall.
