AT&T is doubling the reward for anyone who helps detectives bring in a band of copper wire thieves: $10,000.

There have been 30 copper wire thefts in Fresno County the past 60 days.

Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims says these aren't run-of-the-mill thieves, but seasoned professionals.

It's easy to see how the thefts pay off for the thief stealing all the metal. The price for copper right now is $3.50 a pound.
