FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Fresno man, 31-year-old Moua Vang, leaped out of his moving minivan, after carjackers shocked him several times with a stun gun, kidnapped him and told him they planned to kill him.

The frightening carjacking happened in broad daylight in southeast Fresno Monday afternoon.

The victim stopped at a store to get something to drink near the corner of Millbrook and Belmont.

He said the two suspects, a man with tattoos on his head and arms, and a woman with bleached blond hair, shocked him with a stun gun after he refused to give them change.

Moua Vang says he jumped from his own van going some 40 miles an hour.

Vang says, "I was resting and that's when I opened the sliding door and jumped out and fell right here and called for help, please help. Please help."

John Robles saw Vang roll on the street, and ran over to help.

John Robles says, "When I looked over I figured did he just fall off a bike or something, and that's when he said 'I got carjacked.'"

Vang, a father of six, is upset crooks took his van. But he's thankful to be alive.

Vang says, "I was trying to fight for my life."

Fresno police are now looking for Vang's stolen mini-van.

It is a 2002 gold Dodge Caravan.

The license plate number is 5-C-I-L-4-2-3.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP. You can remain anonymous.

If you do see the van, police do not want you to go up to it, because the suspects in this case are considered armed and dangerous.

Investigators say they are putting a lot of resources on this case because it is such a brazen crime. They hope to have an arrest soon.
