Porterville Toddler In Hospital After Swallowing Meth

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KMPH) -

A Porterville toddler is in the hospital after she swallowed something she wasn't supposed to be anywhere near: meth.

Two people are behind bars for letting it happen.

Tulare County deputies arrested Jose Tapia and Janet Cerrito for suspicion of child endangerment.

The two-year-old was having seizures and her temperature was high.

Investigators haven't said how the toddler is related to the couple.
