Home Sweet Home For Former Fresno State Star

VISALIA, Calif. (KMPH) -

Valley native Garrett Weber has played baseball at Clovis High School, Fresno City College, and Fresno State. Now he is playing pro ball for the Visalia Rawhide of the California League.

Weber feels fortunate to have spent his entire baseball career playing at home. He knew he wanted to play for Visalia as soon as he was drafted by the Rawhide's parent club, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He also enjoys playing in front of family and friends, although he hopes to move up through the Diamondbacks' minor league system.

Weber believes playing through high school, junior college and college has helped him develop as a player.

Friday night, Weber had three hits for the Rawhide in their 7-1 win over San Jose.
