Next Stop For Devon Wylie... The NFL

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

Since ending his playing career at Fresno state, Devon Wylie has seen his stock rise in the eyes of NFL scouts. As a result, Wylie should be the first Bulldog to be picked. The NFL draft kicks off Thursday night. KMPH talked to the future pro on the phone from his home in Roseville, CA.

The speedy wide receiver and punt returner had solid showings in the East–West Shrine game, at his NFL pro day, and most importantly at the combine. Sometime in the next 72 hours, the hard work will mean the realization of a NFL dream.

"I'm very eager and anxious to know where I'm going to go. It's been exciting so far. I'll be happy anywhere on a team where I'll be able to contribute as a receiver and as a special teams guy", Wylie says.

Wylie feels there are three teams that are most likely to draft him, The Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos.

"There is the possibility of the second round, which would be phenomenal and the best case scenario. I think there's a couple teams out there that might want me in the third round. If they need to get something else in those rounds, then I may drop off to the fifth or sixth."

Wylie will watch the draft at his home in Roseville with friends and family, waiting for that life changing phone call.
