Distracted Drivers In The Cross-Hairs This Week, CHP

FRESNO, Calif. (KMPH) -

If you like to text while driving, be warned: the law is stepping up efforts to stop you.

The California Highway Patrol is kicking off a week-long "zero tolerance" campaign.

The law is teaming up from Chowchilla all the way south to Bakersfield to cite anyone not paying attention on the road, and it's not just texters they're looking for.

The CHP says zero tolerance applies to drivers distracted by food, drinks, even makeup.
