
UC Riverside opened a non-conference baseball series in Fresno Friday night with a 5-1 win over the Bulldogs.
The Highlanders took advantage of two Fresno State errors in the third inning to score four unearned runs.
Tyler Linehan took the loss for the Bulldogs, while UC Riverside got a complete game from pitcher Dylan Stuart, who scattered six hits.
It was the first time this season Fresno State lost a Friday night game, snapping the Bulldogs' five game winning streak.
Fresno State's record dips to 12-10 on the year.
