
Number one ranked Stanford jumped out to an early lead Sunday afternoon and rolled to a 9-2 win over Fresno State in the third and final game of their non-conference baseball series at Beiden Field.
The Cardinal scored four runs in the top of the first inning and never looked back.
Stanford's John Hochstatter pitched into the sixth inning, giving up two runs while scattering six hits.
After handing the Cardinal their first loss of the season in the opening game of the series on Friday night, Fresno State dropped the last two games and was outscored by a total of 25-2.
The Bulldogs, now 5-7 on the year, open a four-game series against San Francisco Friday night at Beiden Field.
